Visiting this park will show you to understand the history, culture and heritage of legendary nomads of Mongolia and as well as allows you to compare the culture and lifestyle of ancient and current Mongolian nomadic herders.

The “13th Century Complex” is located in Erdene soum of Tuv aimag. The complex is micro kingdom, established to showing the real lifestyle of 13th century of the Mongolian great empire and it is exciting attraction with ger camps, farms, statues and traditional entertainment areas.  Currently, there are 6 different camps.

Relay station camp: Horse relay postal system created under the Chinggis khaan. Uguudei Khaan extended horse relay service that postal man would be able to rest, eat, change the tired riding horses in every 30 km  between the stations.

Craftsman’s camp: The blacksmiths and craftman’s work of the 13th century was very popular around the world. In the craftmen’s camp, you will observe the artwork of making of household utensils, women’s ornaments, jewelry, arms and tools, etc. Throughout the complex, watch closely to the details of the interiors and exteriors as they are all handmade.

Educational camp: By visiting this camp you will see the unique culture of the literacy, traditional way of educating their successors and the youth. At the Library Camp, you will learn about Mongolian’s literary traditions.

Herder’s camp:  The shown culture such as the way of breeding in the life-stock, the methods of producing dairy products, horse training and catching horses with lasso pole, pastoral culture, processing the leather straps, riding horses, yaks and camels  are the everyday life of herders.

Shaman’s camp: Shamanism was the ancient way of worshipping among Mongolians.

King’s palace In the King’s Palace,  In the Khan’s Palace, you will learn about the statecraft of 13th century Mongolians. One of the popular experiences is dining at the Khan’s Great Palace and experiencing a feast just as Chinggis Khan’s noblemen used to enjoy.

By visiting this complex you will travel over the past medieval historical life.

Meet at hotel early morning in Ulaanbaatar. Drive to the 13th century park about 96 km from Ulaanbaatar. Visit the park, where no electricity and no comfort like in the 13th century of nomads. You will see the real life of legendary nomads and visit the different sides of ancient time of Mongols. Lunch in the King's Palace of 13th century and drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel for Refreshment. Leisure time for shopping etc. Before dinner evening art performance. This fascinating folklore performance includes traditional folk song, throat singing, beauty melody of horse fiddle, ethnic dances and artistic contortion. Transfer to hotel.
